What is AI film production?

AI film production means making finished films with generative AI instead of cameras. Everything else about the production is familiar. There's a script, a director, an edit, sound and color. The difference is that the images are generated, so there are no locations, no sets and no crew call. The film comes together at a desk, gets reviewed as a finished cut, and can be revised almost as easily as a document.

A film starts here the way films have always started, with an idea, a script and a visual direction. Then, instead of building the world, we generate it. Every shot exists in many versions before one survives; the best material is edited, scored and graded into the finished film. The work takes real creative direction and human judgment about what to keep. Typing a sentence and collecting a movie is not how any of this happens.
