Look Again
It opens at a desk, under fluorescent light, in the meeting where ideas usually die. Then the desert grows a teacup. Two and a half minutes of everything the drawer was hiding.
No client, no brief, no budget line to hide behind — a self-initiated film with the only constraint that matters: it had to prove the drawer could be emptied.
The first cut opened on the desert. It was beautiful and it was wrong — wonder means nothing until you've sat in the room where wonder goes to die. The office came back from the rejects pile and became the opening.
The grey desk under fluorescent light, the teacup over the Empty Quarter, the balloon, the lanterns, the doors. Every image in the final cut is a shot that would have been cut from a real production for money reasons.
The cutting room.
Frames that made the cut — and the record of the ones that didn’t.
